She was found Sunday night by our granddaughter.
I tried to protect her since she was along Bella's path to the gate.

UPDATE: April 14, 2019, she was gone. No sign of eggs hatching. No idea what happened.

Remnants From A Windy Night!

The wind topped this tree for us!
Now that the most prominent part has fallen, it won't take much to chop the rest of it down.
It wasn't the only tree, another closer to the house, landing on the roof.
I was prepared it could happen, but it still startled me when I heard the thump.
Being home alone didn't make it any better.
There was nothing I can do till morning.

We weren't the only ones who lost part or all of our trees
The neighbor across the canal lost a number of them as well.
Time to hire a cleanup crew!

A Field of Artichokes

Every day I drive past this field, watching them grow to this.
They are not grown for food, but for seed.
Last year I got a picture of them blooming here.

Rough Night!

Waiting for the doctor after 4 hours of sleep.
Plan; place an IVC filter to screen any clots that break off.
Begin anticoagulants to help dissolve the most significant clot
that is creating all the swelling, redness, and pain.
Praying today brings him more comfort.
